A MODERN SOCIETY MEAD
Mead should be getting more attention. The notion is the same. In the past, when life was simpler and less industrialized, our ancestors—who were also amazing party-goers—accidentally discovered mead and discovered a terrific way to smooth over the rough edges of a long day of foraging and hunting. Before the advent of genuine agriculture, most… Read…

Freyr’s Sail
Traditional Mead
Known as the best of boats, Skidbladnir was the magical ship of the God Freyr. It was large enough to carry all of the gods to battle, always had a fair wind that will take it wherever it needed to go, and when it was not needed it could be folded up like a cloth and stowed in a pocket. As we have taken the longship as our banner, our traditional mead appropriately honors Freyr and his Sail. May it take you to exciting new places. Skål!
Freya’s Tears
Mead with Raspberries
Freya is the Norse Goddess of Love, Fertility, and Magic. She also had the right to half of the warriors that died in battle. Those she chose would join her in the heavenly field Folkvanger, and the rest would go to Valhalla. Her husband, Odr, frequently left to travel the mortal realm and in her yearning for him, Freya would cry tears of red gold. Freya’s Tears is a true treasure; it tastes like a lover’s kiss and you will miss it when it’s gone.
Loki’s Barb
Mead with Blackberries
Loki is the feared and beloved Norse God of Mischief. His games often caused trouble for the rest of the gods but his guile would allow him to solve the most intractable problems… even if it was of his making. Loki had a tongue of silver and a wit as sharp as a dwarven knife. Likewise, our blackberry mead starts with sweet words and finishes with a delightful bite.
Lofn’s Gift
Mead with Lavender and Lemon
Lofn is the goddess of forbidden love, known for embracing relationships of all varieties and accepting all who seek her blessing. Her name means permission; empowered by the All-Father to arrange unions others would deny. Lofn’s gentle and caring nature, yet a breaker of rules, often took risks for love. Here we honor her by joining sweet lavender and sour lemon in a delightful summer wine.
Ullr’s Glory
Mead with Cranberries, Orange Peel, and Cinnamon
Ullr was the finest bowman of all the gods, and was known to ski so well that none could keep up with him. The wise would seek his favor before a hunt or a fight.
Great tournaments were held in his honor, and his namesake can be spotted in numerous towns across Scandinavia. This potion’s warm spices are enough to take the chill out of a winter’s night, or reinvigorate a warrior after a fight. Enjoy the tart cranberries, and bask in Ullr’s Glory.

Yes! We survived the COVID Pandemic lockdowns, and our tasting hall is open for all our brethren.
At this time, no. Our tasting room unfortunately too small at this time to accommodate those we cannot serve. When we are able to grow our serving room space, we will revisit this policy.
We do not. Service animals only. Even Baldur, the void beast who roamed the halls during the pandemic, stays home now.
